Back to work, though there wasn’t really anything more annoying than the usual amount of stuff that piles up over a long weekend. Hari had gone to Vegas over the weekend, and he stayed out late, won about $100 on blackjack, and had a great time. Other people had mostly stayed in town, though.
There was no trivia tonight. Well, there was trivia, but a bunch of people including Patty, Spencer, Zach, and Sarah couldn’t attend, so none of us ended up going. I spent some time reading Madame Prosecutor, a book by Carla del Ponte about her experiences prosecuting people accused of genocide in Rwanda and Bosnia. It’s interesting, partially because it’s a book outside my usual interests. The main problem is that there are many, many people involved in everything, and they’re not well-characterized at all. This makes it harder to follow some things.
Also, I have a ton of shrimp scampi left over. This is not a bad thing. I think I’ll bring that out tomorrow night in lieu of some of the Chinese food we usually have. Also also, there’s apparently a big dust storm going on in the Phoenix area right now. This is what we get for living in the dang desert. . . .
