Moira occupying half of the couchThis week was a very busy week, which is why there were so few blog entries.

Monday, I cleaned up and did prep work, because:

Tuesday, a bunch of the trivia crew and Steve and Stephanie came over for food and Rock Band 3. Nathan brought his Pro drum set, which was pretty complicated. It’s also apparently a MIDI instrument, but I didn’t get a chance to check that out. But anyway, we had enchiladas and Chinese food. Sarah brought Cathal. This worked out fairly well. Moira sniffed him, but wasn’t all that interested in him, because he’s only 3 months old and is incapable of playing with her or petting her.

Wednesday, Stephanie and I went to a restaurant in Ahwatukee to have dinner with Christina and Darren. This was kind of fun. Darren works with Oracle a lot, and he didn’t know about the long-standing convention among the Grumpy Old Sysadmins that Oracle is always referred to as “Orrible”. This took a while, though, and Stephanie and I got the wrong leftovers by accident.

Thursday was mostly work, but at least I got to eat the leftovers from Wednesday.

Friday had even more work.

Saturday, Stephanie and I met Nacho and Luly at Contigo Peru for lunch. This was good. It’s been some time since I’ve had Peruvian food. We heard all about Nacho’s adventures with his truck, and about stuff at work. And we tentatively scheduled lunch at Haus Murphy’s in Glendale for late August sometime.

When I got back, I put the leftovers away and puttered around for a bit. Then I found that there was a huge semi blocking a whole bunch of cars from entering or exiting their parking spaces. Someone was moving in, so there was no getting around the need for the semi to be there. I had to wait for them to unload the truck and move it, which took 2.5 hours. Oh well. At least I don’t have to do anything or go anywhere tonight, and can sack out much the way Moira did above. . . .
