Friday! Always a good thing. Usually. Since I had the day off, I spent most of the day running errands, including getting the car’s emissions checked and picking up some groceries for the party tomorrow.
So after doing all that, I decided to lie down on the couch at about 3:30pm. I fell asleep and didn’t wake up until about 6:10pm. As soon as I woke up, I saw that I had a whole bunch of angry text messages from Stephanie, which is never a good sign. She’d planned to go out to dinner that night, and I wasn’t awake at 5:30pm, so I missed texts and a phone call and she got mad. After I’d woken up, I drove to the restaurant and met her. *argh*.
Ah well, party tomorrow at Stephanie’s. The last text I got from her was “U an help me with last minute cleaning tomorrow plus getting rid of stuff tomorrow”, which seems a bit presumptuous. I’ve held multiple parties at my place and never asked for anyone’s help in setting up—if you host a party, it’s your responsibility to set everything up, right? Maybe this is one of the big differences between men and women. Men won’t ask for help if they don’t need it; women will ask for help even if they don’t need it.

Women weren’t born with huge muscles and long legs. You’re so used to being single that you should think more of being part of a “team.”
I did not get a day off like you, and you should help out instead of thinking so self-centered. It’s nice when guys help their girlfriends with lifting heavy things, accompanying them to the grocery store and helping with bags, being emotional/morale support with cleaning house, help throw out the trash when they eat your food….
Well, you wanted to bring Rock Band and chairs since I don’t have Rock Band. If you need help, let me know.
