Work: Not a whole lot to report, really. I’ve been reading Masks of the Illuminati by Robert Anton Wilson, which is sort of related to the Illuminatus! trilogy, except set years earlier and dealing with different characters. It’s interesting, but every so often, Wilson starts trying to write like James Joyce for a page or two while describing John Babcock’s dreams and/or mystical experiences. These parts are much more tedious and unrewarding than the rest of the book. I just wonder if it’ll be like Illuminatus! and end up going nowhere, but by a very scenic route.
