Apparently, the machines and the software on them handled the really high load very well last week. Or at least, that’s what the guy who’s higher on the departmental food chain told us on Monday. Heck, we might get some new hardware, or get allocated some older hardware that nobody else is using. This could all be good.

Sid would rather have a bacon narwhal I think. Who would imagine such a thing?
I had no idea that anyone collected those things until yesterday. But apparently there was little or no quality control when they were being made, so there are a lot of different variations and many insulators that are unique.
As far as the narwhal goes, people have been making food shaped like animals for a long time. This is just the latest in a long string of these dishes, but it has more bacon in it than many of the earlier ones.
Which, because it has more bacon in it, makes it better.
I have seen a fruit salad in a watermelon carved to look like a whale.
I love this cat photo. So cute.
Basketcat is cute, for sure. Would “basketcat with bacon” be better? Almost everything is better with bacon.
