Caturday, and the cats are mangling movie quotes.
Friday was relatively quiet. We figured out various ways to make some computer stuff faster. Then we all took the light rail many blocks north to eat in a restaurant that was too far to walk to with Alex. He had his older son (4, almost 5) with him. The kid was seriously interested in the light rail cars and had no volume control. Oh well, the food wasn’t bad, and it was the first time I’d ridden the light rail. It’s not quite like Washington DC’s Metro or the Tube in London, but it might work for a number of things. My only real problem with it is that I don’t live close enough to a station.
In less nifty news, they’re eliminating the bus stop where I get on in the mornings. The bus stop that replaces it is another quarter mile further south. The transit company isn’t saving any money or time by eliminating the stop. It must be sheer bloody-mindedness on their part.
