Doctor Acula, M.D.Went to give blood on Thursday. They’re now apparently asking people to give blood three times a year, which is odd because you can give blood every 2 months. Ah well, did it without any problems.

It rained on Thursday night, which was kind of nice. Also, this weapons project is probably cooler than most weapons projects you’ve seen. Who wouldn’t like a nuclear powered jet engine that dropped other nukes on the enemy?

What else. . . not a whole lot.  Been reading Raising the Stones, by Sheri S. Tepper. This is sort of the second book in a trilogy, but can be read on its own. The protagonist of Grass is mentioned. She shows up in a flashback, gives a bunch of people a bunch of advice, then vanishes. The people’s descendants then gleefully misinterpret everything she told them. The psychotic religious fanatic Voorstoders seem surprisingly tame. Maybe this is because the book was written 19 years ago, and the atrocity ante has been raised significantly since then. I’m only about 75% of the way through the book, so can’t comment on the ending yet.
