The whole church should get drunk!
I can’t even imagine what this is about. It was apparently a real sermon, recorded by a real person. But you have to admit, it would be a bit easier to implement than “The whole church should volunteer to help out at the homeless shelter”.

Hm. I’ve done a few necessary but really boring things at work in the last few days, mostly because I’m on furlough next week. I’ve also started a project to put all the books I own in a database, so I can keep track of them all and allow friends to browse them as if they were a lending library. Watch this space; the complete searchable list of books in my personal library will eventually appear as a link here. So far, I’ve only entered about 10% of the books I own. Well, it’ll eventually get done.

Been reading Cyteen by C.J. Cherryh.  It’s really slow-paced, and the complex political situation the characters are in makes it a bit difficult to get into.  But it won a Hugo, and they don’t generally give those to books that aren’t worth reading.
