This is the early ballot that I filled out 2 weeks ago. I hope that all eligible citizens of the USA vote today if they haven’t mailed in their ballots already, and choose the candidates they feel are best qualified to serve.
I’m going to be working late on Tuesday. They need some people to be there, just in case something stupid happens, and I’m one of the people they chose. At least I don’t have to show up at the office until mid-afternoon, and I should get a free dinner out of it.
Still reading Working. It’s interesting how many different stories are in it. One of the people, a former salesman working as a janitor, said something like, “I don’t know why everyone is so obsessed with being a successful person.” That seems . . . odd to me. He was probably interviewed in 1970 or 1971, when the culture and milieu was very different, but having a lot of money and status has always been . . . useful. I have enough money for my needs, Fuzzball’s needs, and a few luxuries. I don’t give a rat’s arse about impressing random people, though I try to behave as a gracious host for friends, family, and invited guests. I don’t know what, precisely, I’d do differently if I had a lot more money and social status than I have right now. (Maybe I’ll get to find out one of these days. . . .)

Oh yeah. Early voting FTW. Better a paper trail than the Diebold lack of an audit trail. I should’ve taken pictures of both sides of my ballot, though, not just the front side, just in case of stupidity….
WE WON WE WON WE WON!!!
