Currently reading Testing Testing, by F. Allan Hanson, which is an examination of how historical and modern testing has shaped culture and people. I haven’t found any great insights in it yet, though. The author is from U Cal Berkeley, though, so whatever conclusions he draws may be ideologically bent.
