So on Monday, I got out of the house at the usual time, walked to the bus stop, and the bus was about 5 minutes early. I was on the corner waiting for the light to turn green, as crossing any of Phoenix’s major streets against the green is almost suicidal. The driver waited for me at the stop, but it was still a bit embarrassing. There are usually 4 or 5 other people who get on the bus at my stop, but none of them were there.

When we all went upstairs for lunch, I said that I could beat everyone else by running up the stairs while they took the elevator. I almost made it. I would’ve made it if an elevator hadn’t immediately shown up when they pushed the elevator button.

More bus problems on the bus home from work: The cord that you pull to say “please stop here” didn’t work right, so the driver didn’t stop at my stop and I had to walk about 1/3 of a mile farther than I usually do. Oh well.
