OK, I know I’m repeating myself with this image. But that’s roughly what getting the work-paid cablemodem feels like. My DSL is paid up til the beginning of September, so I’m keeping it for a bit longer. Both connection methods work fine.

Went to Steve’s last night and did a bunch of stuff with mail. Setting up postfix and qpopper, finding a strange problem with the USE flags in qpopper, talking about all the stuff you can do with /etc/aliases, and so forth. The main thing we didn’t cover was setting up SMTP AUTH, which is a bit of a pain. Oh well, I have a perfectly working SMTP AUTH config for postfix here, and can reproduce it on any random machine if I have to.

It will be nice not having to get up before 5am on Thursday.
