I picked up a copy of the local alternative paper and looked through it on the bus ride home Friday. I lived in Lansing for so long that I just don’t think of famous, popular music acts and comedians showing up in the greater metro area that I live in. But Eddie Izzard, Mötorhead, the Stone Temple Pilots, and at least 20 other reasonably recognizable acts are all playing shows in the Valley within the next 7 days. Before gas goes up any more, I may have to find a show by a band or comedian that I like, then buy a ticket and drag myself out to it. But I really should be trying to save money, not spend it on entertainment.
