I thought I’d modify the playlists on my iPod yesterday. That’s when I discovered that the file system on the thing had been eaten thanks to either a bug or bad handling or the general instability of FAT32. Oh well, it was time for a thorough housecleaning on that device anyway. New playlists, new songs, and so forth. Wasn’t hard, just annoying, since of course all my source mp3s were just fine on my desktop machine’s disks.
Trivia: Dangit, we didn’t win. Again. Other people brought their A games, and we didn’t. They’ve also changed the menu at the pub, removed Trevor’s favorite entree, removed the chicken pot pie that I liked, and so forth. Argh.
Kelli mentioned an interesting mondegreen the other day. “Kyrie eleison Carry a laser through the darkness of the night” in this 1980 pop song. Yeah, if it was dark, a freakin’ laser would be useful, no?
