So I tried to find some sort of way to use my main desktop machine to emulate a PS2, so I could have a way to play Guitar Hero without buying so much junk. Found a PS2 emulator, but further reading showed me that my machine isn’t quite fast enough to use it to emulate that game. 2200 MHz doesn’t go quite as far as it used to (though it’s perfectly adequate to emulate a PS1). Apparently, there’s a VGA adapter for the PS2, so I probably wouldn’t have to buy a TV. Actually, though, if I were to borrow the game from someone who has it, I could try the emulator out—the users who commented about slowdowns were using Windows and an older version of the emulator.
No luck on the job front. Sigh.
